Compiling the work and achievement in our country since the first involvement of our country in APEC Red Tide/Harmful Algal Bloom related projects. Assisting OSTA, EPA in overseeing and participating the TILF #Development and Validation of Analytical Methods, Standards and Reference Materials for Seafood Product Certification and Safety’ project. Participating its Project Steering Committee meeting held in Florida, Oct. 21-25, 2002. Participating APEC MRC Working group meeting held in Canberra, Jun 10-13, 2002 and giving the progress report of the TILF project and a new project proposal on ‘Strategy and Implementation of Harmful Algae Management and Mitigation in the APEC Region’ to include the hosting of ‘International Symposium on Harmful Algae Management and Mitigation in the area of/nearby South China Sea’ in Taipei for adoption.
